Former Wildcat Pop Lacey signs with the NAZ Wranglers of the IFL

The last time Pop Lacey suited up was all the way back on Nov. 23, 2019 when the Wildcats defeated the Maine Black Bears 28-10 to take back the Brice-Cowell Musket. Today, Lacey is headed to northern Arizona for his first opportunity at professional football with the Northern Arizona Wranglers of the Indoor Football League (IFL).

No. 14 UNH set to kickoff season in two weeks

DURHAM, N.H. – No. 14 University of New Hampshire (UNH) football is set to kick off their spring season in two weeks after having the fall slate postponed. The Wildcats will face a six-team schedule consisting of only Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) schools. After watching the departure of a handful of veteran defenders from 2019, head coach Sean McDonnell still thinks his defense can be a threat and will be supplemented by developing offensive talent.

By way of a tweet on Sunday night, former UNH defensive back Evan Horn announced that he will be entering the NCAA transfer portal and finishing out his final year of eligibility elsewhere. Horn was named to the STATS FCS Preseason All-American Third Team as well as the All-CAA First Team in 2019. This is another name on the long list of veteran defenders this program has seen walk out the door over the past year.
