When students returned to the University of New Hampshire (UNH) campus for the 2020 fall semester, they were met with new regulations and changes on campus due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. One of the many changes that took place was the way in which students could eat and get food from campus dining locations. With the university’s plan to be fully operational by the fall 2021 semester, UNH Dining hopes to safely make some changes while adhering to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) recommended guidelines.

UNH student creates nutrition app like no other – LogSmarter™

What began as late nights and early mornings in dorm rooms and one-bedroom apartments over the span of two years ultimately turned University of New Hampshire (UNH) senior computer science major Ryan Lefebvre’s dream into reality. Lefebvre created LogSmarter™, an artificial intelligence (AI) nutrition coach app that uses machine learning to help people reach and sustain their health goals.

The new Netflix original series, Bridgerton offers the viewer a look into 1813 London during the courting season. The eight-episode drama was created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes. The show quickly became a Netflix “Top Ten” and currently remains top four in the U.S. today.

Mia Rollins was determined to pursue a career in figure skating; ultimately, turning her passion into her dream job. At age 18 an ankle injury destroyed this possibility. Devastated, Rollins turned to a different creative avenue - art. She attended Brown University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Visual Art and Modern Culture. Rollins now works full time as an artist and actively applies to show her work in galleries across the United States.

UNH requires every student to complete the Discovery Program which is compromised of courses that cover 11 different categories: Writing, Quantitative Reasoning, Inquiry, Biological Science, Physical Science, Fine and Performing Arts, Humanities, Historical Perspectives, World Cultures, Social Science, Environment, Technology and Society.
