After splitting two games during the opening weekend, the University of New Hampshire (UNH) field hockey team (1-3-0, 0-0-0) dropped two games this past weekend in Boston against Boston University (2-2, 0-0) and No. 3 Iowa (4-0, 0-0).

Following a season shortened by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in which the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Wildcats (1-1, 0-0) finished with a 4-8 record, the field hockey team opened the fall 2021 campaign with a shutout win against Ohio University (0-2, 0-0).

DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire (UNH) field hockey (1-0) won their season opener on Friday against UMass Amherst (0-1) by a final of 3-1. The Wildcats were trailing 1-0 at the half but came back and scored three unanswered goals within three minutes of each other. This quickly turned a one-goal deficit into a two-goal lead for UNH to make a great start to their 2021 campaign.
