House Bill 1557, nicknamed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by LGBTQ+ individuals and activists, just passed the Florida State Senate last Tuesday. The bill seeks to grant parents more power over what their children learn in school, but many have disagreed with aspects of the bill that they consider to be discriminatory towards LGTBQ+ youth.

A missing person alert reached UNH community members Saturday at 6:18 p.m. It was quickly followed by an email at 6:25 p.m., looking for student Vincenzo Lirosi, 22, of Massachusetts. A second email from President James Dean came in on Sunday around 6:14 p.m. bearing the tragic news that Lirosi’s body was found in the wooded area off Coe Drive that afternoon.

The Sexual Violence Action Committee of New Hampshire (SVAC) is a new, student-run organization pushing for radical changes in the way college campuses handle issues of sexual misconduct. The committee, started by University of New Hampshire (UNH) students at the beginning of November, was formed in response to the lack of action being taken by UNH administration against cases of sexual harassment and assault on campus.
