After months of keeping the coronavirus (COVID-19) numbers at bay, New Hampshire has seen another spike in positive cases which has prompted them to enhance travel restrictions.
After reporting zero new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases on Nov. 1, the University of New Hampshire (UNH) announced 16 new cases on Nov. 5 and 60 total active cases, per their COVID-19 dashboard. Forty-seven of the 60 are students, while 10 are faculty or staff and three are categorized as “other/contractor.”
Fall has arrived. The once green leaves around campus are now bursting with color, hot and humid days are becoming rarer and rarer as the air carries the chill of autumn.
I’ve spent the first two weeks of my freshman year in quarantine. I spent a couple months and a 1,050-mile car ride anticipating these first few days of college, thinking of who I would meet and the new memories I would make.
With restaurants becoming take-out only and operations and large gatherings being prohibited, the COVID-19 pandemic has served as grounds for a home-cooking revolution.
