On Tuesday, former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all three counts in regards to the killing of George Floyd - unintentional second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Durham, NH -- President James W. Dean Jr. of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) sent out an email on March 18 to the UNH community regarding his plan to fully open the campus for the fall 2021 semester. This email was sent a few days after the one-year anniversary of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which forced UNH to shut down its campus last spring.

University of New Hampshire (UNH) President James W. Dean decided not to change the name of the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law after a task force of students, faculty, staff, and alumni recommended against doing so. The school considered eliminating Franklin Pierce’s, the fourteenth and only U.S. President from N.H., name because of his connections with slavery.

On Sept. 30, President of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) James Dean, hosted his third town hall this semester regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) on campus. The town hall was joined by Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Nadine Petty and Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Wayne Jones.
