CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – University of New Hampshire (UNH) men’s hockey (6-14-3) traveled to Chestnut Hill to take on arguably the best team in all of college hockey, No. 1 Boston College (17-4-1) in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. The Wildcats’ season came to an end after losing 3-2 to the Eagles. The No. 9 seeded Wildcats came into this game with some momentum after defeating rival Maine in a blowout last Wednesday night.

University of New Hampshire (UNH) men’s hockey (5-12-2) and No. 18 Northeastern University (8-5-2) battled twice this past weekend. The Wildcats were unable to walk away from this series with a win and dropped two straight as they failed to capitalize on their special teams play which saved them the weekend prior.

After losing a tough series against UConn (5-6-2), the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team was looking for a bit of an easier series against the Merrimack Warriors (2-7-1). That, however, did not end up being the case and the Wildcats were punched in the mouth right away by the Warriors.

DURHAM, N.H. – In an unprecedented season, the University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team is about midway through their season – one that hasn’t been too kind to them. They currently sit at 3-7-1, which has them sixth in the Hockey East above UMass Lowell, UMaine, Boston University, UVM and Merrimack, who have all played less games than the Wildcats.

Unfortunately for the ‘Cats, the weekend didn’t go according to plan as they went on to get swept by the Huskies.

The University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team finally returned to action this past weekend with two games against longtime rival UMaine on Friday and Saturday. This was the first action for either team in the 2020-21 season. The Black Bears were scheduled to host this matchup, however a last second schedule switch brought them into Durham for the weekend.
