HB 1557 Raises Controversy over Barring LGBTQ+ Conversation in Schools

House Bill 1557, nicknamed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by LGBTQ+ individuals and activists, just passed the Florida State Senate last Tuesday. The bill seeks to grant parents more power over what their children learn in school, but many have disagreed with aspects of the bill that they consider to be discriminatory towards LGTBQ+ youth.

Health & Wellness’s month of Sextober is being held virtually this academic year. Sextober is a series of month-long events hosted by the University of New Hampshire’s (UNH) Health &Wellness in October. The month offers a variety of activities covering a wide range of topics regarding sexual wellbeing for students. During the month, the idea of sexual positivity is spread across campus and the free events are open to all identities and genders.

Campus program “pupdate”: the status of Paws & Relax
