DURHAM, N.H. – No. 14 University of New Hampshire (UNH) football is set to kick off their spring season in two weeks after having the fall slate postponed. The Wildcats will face a six-team schedule consisting of only Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) schools. After watching the departure of a handful of veteran defenders from 2019, head coach Sean McDonnell still thinks his defense can be a threat and will be supplemented by developing offensive talent.
DURHAM, N.H. – Normally the annual Blue-White Game is the last action we see from University of New Hampshire football before the school year ends. This year, however, this is just the start of the action for the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). CAA Media Day – which normally takes place in July – was held via Zoom last week as UNH and the rest of the league prepares for the first week of March.
Just a few weeks after the Colonial Athletics Association (CAA) announced the plans for a six-game spring schedule a Tuesday morning press release answered all the questions that were left unanswered in the initial announcement. The conference released the schedules for 11 schools which are set to kick off on Saturday, March 6; Towson being the only school not participating in the season.
This fall semester is going to be far different than what UNH students, along with so many other schools, are accustomed to. Masks, social distancing, remote learning, and no fall sports.
The University of New Hampshire Department of Athletics has announced the postponement of all fall sports for the duration of the fall semester in a Friday afternoon press release.
