Brian's Banter: Breaking down the Adam LaRoche saga

Storylines constantly consume the MLB around spring training time. For example, the Red Sox have been under the microscope at times, such as when Pablo ‘The Tank’ Sandoval showed up to spring training looking uncomfortably hefty, or when Hanley Ramirez showed up to play first base without a first baseman’s glove. But the biggest and most controversial story that’s circling the MLB news mill is the story of Adam LaRoche and his son, Drake.

UNH will be sending two of its elite athletes to compete in the NCAA Championships this weekend in Birmingham, Alabama.  Junior Drew Piazza and sophomore Elinor Purrier will look to lay down some of their fastest times ever on the indoor track.

Stags stampede past ‘Cats

Sophomore goaltender Kate Clancy recorded a career-high 13 saves on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to stop the stampede.

Wildcats third in Utah tri-meet

The Wildcat gymnastics team placed third in a tri-meet with Utah State University and Brigham Young University on Friday night, recording a score of 193.825.

Men, women compete in Boston

The men and women’s indoor track and field teams logged several strong performances against top competition over the weekend.  The women’s team placed eighth out of 44 teams at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Sunday, while the men’s team finished 22nd out of 43 teams in the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America (IC4A) Championships.
