Nerbonne scores early as UNH’s season ends out West

The UNH field hockey team lost Friday afternoon to the University of Pacific Tigers 4-2 in the quarterfinals of the America East tournament. Lindsey Nerbonne scored the opening goal, but in the rematch from last year’s quarterfinal matchup, the Tigers were able to defend their home turf and move on.

Wildcats ride strong regular season finish into playoff bout

The UNH field hockey team will challenge the University of Pacific Tigers in the America East quarterfinals this Friday, Nov. 4 in Stockton, California to begin the America East conference tournament. The Wildcats take on the Tigers for the eighth time in program history sporting a 5-2 overall record. In last year’s matchup, the Wildcats fell 2-1 to the Tigers.

‘Cats finish road trip with conference victories

America East conference play continued this weekend as the UNH volleyball team finished their road regular season schedule against Stony Brook Univeristy and the University of Maryland Baltimore County. UNH finished their final road test with a weekend sweep, winning both matches 3-1.

Playoff run ends with last-second heartbreak

UNH women’s soccer head coach Steve Welham addressed in a previously written article of The New Hampshire  that one or two special moments in the playoffs can change the course of a game. Whether good or bad, in the Wildcats’ case both, Welham’s statement rings true.

Baykova continues dominance in first home win

The UNH women’s swimming and diving team returned home and defeated Central Connecticut State University 203-148 after competing in a two-day meet at Swasey Pool. Led by junior Liza Baykova, the Wildcats were able to pave their way to the first win of the season.

On Halloween weekend, the Wildcats displayed their tendency to create early game thrills and late game scares.

Nerbonne’s hat trick leads UNH to a win

The UNH field hockey team wrapped up the regular season by beating intrastate rival Dartmouth 6-2 on Sunday. On senior day, Lindsey Nerbonne recorded a hat trick to lead the Wildcats. The Wildcats end the season 7-11 overall and 4-4 in America East as they wait to play the University of Pacific next Friday, Nov. 4.
