This past Saturday afternoon, the UNH women’s basketball team (7-14, 4-5) fell back under the .500 mark in America East play after suffering a 66-53 loss to the UMass Lowell Riverhawks.

The University of New Hampshire women’s basketball team (6-13, 3-4) looked to extend their winning streak to three this past Saturday afternoon against Binghamton (14-6, 3-4), but they fell short in a 63-53 effort.

Following a shutout performance from junior goalie Mike Robinson, the UNH men’s hockey team continued their defensive success in a 1-1 tie against No. 7 UMass Amherst.

While UNH was on break the Women’s Gymnastics team was hard at work preparing for their upcoming season. There is a lot of hype around the team this year as they are expected to repeat as the EAGL champions for the 2020 season.

The UNH men’s track and field team had a busy Saturday this past weekend. The team was split between a tri-meet with UVM and Maine, and the John Thomas Invitational at Boston University.

In a season with a lot of uncertainty on the offensive side of the ball it’s fair to say that the team found a formula that worked; Max Brosmer and his young offense funneled through the running backs.

‘Cats travel to Europe for Friendship Four

In their trip to Belfast, Northern Ireland, the UNH men’s hockey team (7-6-1, 3-4-0) participated in the Friendship Four and fell to No. 12 Northeastern (10-4-2, 6-3-1) and defeated Princeton (1-6-3). The other team competing in Belfast was Colgate (5-7-4).

This past Sunday afternoon, the UNH women’s basketball team (2-5) suffered their fourth loss in their last five games to North Dakota State (1-7) in the schools’ second matchup ever.

In their final road trip of 2019, Ricky Santos and the Wildcats (5-5, 4-3) went into Albany (7-4, 5-2), but didn’t have enough to overcome a fourth quarter deficit. Now sitting at .500 with one game to go, UNH can likely forget about any shot of reaching the playoffs this season.
