On Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 10:34 p.m., the Associated Press officially declared Kelly Ayotte the official winner of the 2024 New Hampshire gubernatorial race.
This concludes a lengthy campaign for Ayotte that began in July 2023. The primary election for Ayotte was a large win for her as she beat fellow Republican Chuck Morse in a 29 point victory on Sept. 10th, 2024. Ayotte had a quick turnaround to the general election where she faced the Democratic candidate Joyce Craig.
Kelly Ayotte becomes the fourth female governor for the State of New Hampshire. This is not Ayotte’s first office held in the state; she was previously the state’s Attorney General from 2004 to 2009 and represented New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate from 2011 to 2017.
Kelly Ayotte’s top priority as listed on her campaign website is “to keep New Hampshire safe, prosperous and free for future generations of Granite Staters.”
