DURHAM N.H. – University of New Hampshire police are investigating reports of two students being drugged and one student being sexually assaulted on campus.
At 11:22 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25 the University of New Hampshire sent out a Timely Warning indicating the report of an alleged drugging and sexual assault that occurred sometime between the night of Friday, September 20 and the early morning hours of Saturday, September 21 in the suspect’s residence hall. According to UNH the two people were known to each other. The warning also indicated a separate report that the same suspect may have drugged a different student’s drink on Thursday, September 19. Both reports were filed separately on Monday, September 24.
According to UNH police, a person of interest has been identified as of 3:30 p.m. September 25 and anyone with further information should reach out to UNH Police Department’s investigations unit at 603-862-1427. Police and campus administration are investigating further at this time.
The university reminded students to familiarize themselves with blue phones, the emergency services throughout campus for anyone to use if they feel they need it, as well as to call 911 or UNH police at 603-862-1212 to reach out for help in the case of any emergency.
