UNH men’s hockey: Wildcats at Maine matchups and notes
February 18, 2022
Preview
The University of New Hampshire (UNH) Wildcats head to Orono after a weekend split against Vermont and UMass Lowell. On Sunday the Wildcats snapped their four-game losing streak against No. 13 UMass Lowell. With that win, UNH moved up to eighth in Hockey East standings, passing Boston College and moving into a position where they would host a home playoff game.
The Black Bears come into the weekend sporting the worst record in Hockey East (5-17-4), sitting 10 points behind UNH. This is the first matchup between the Black Bears and the Wildcats this year, and despite Maine’s record, they’ve won four out of their five wins at home.
