Breaking: Shelter in Place lifted at Gables after gun incident

At approximately 4 a.m. on Monday, UNH Police issued a Shelter in Place warning after a group of four males allegedly wielding at least one firearm were reported at the Gables.
According to the University of New Hampshire Media Relations, the four males were not UNH students.
At the height of the incident, 13 police vehicles were at the scene, as well as at least one canine unit. Armed officers moved through the Gables area and used flashlights while searching the surrounding woods.
The Shelter in Place was lifted at around 5:30 a.m., after police appeared to obtain a male suspect and placed him in a police cruiser. There has been no confirmation from police of an arrest, and no injuries have been reported.
Police are continuing to investigate on scene.
